1. Research Overview

This multi-site observational study focuses on mapping the journey of stroke patients from the first onset of symptoms to the final clinical intervention in the hospital ward. By analyzing these "care pathways," we aim to identify where delays occur and how to eliminate them.

2. Key Objectives

  • Identify critical infrastructure gaps in regional emergency response.
  • Document pre-hospital timeframes and barrier to early hospital arrival.
  • Standardize triage protocols across participating West African institutions.

3. Expected Impact

The findings will be used to advocate for policy changes that improve stroke response times, ultimately increasing survival rates and reducing long-term disability for patients across the region.
